Charles Barnard is well known to many Kerikeri locals as he has worked in the area for over 20 years, since arriving from South Africa. Originally he set up 'Highway vets' then later created 'Northland Referral Center'. He didn't really want to retire though and now works at Phoenix Animal Wellness as our Orthopaedic Consultant.
When he is not fixing bones he has a love of long distance bike riding and the photo shows him arriving in Bluff after 3300km in 28 days. He can also be found on his sea kayak catching us all some snapper!
