Jen used to work with both Paula and Donna in Kaitaia and just couldn’t turn down another job with these awesome people!
Originally from a farm in the UK, Jen has been in NZ for 5 years now. She studied Veterinary Medicine in Edinburgh for 5 years before working for her home practice for 18 months as a mixed vet. She then went travelling to the Philippines and Borneo and completed her Dive masters qualification, before moving to NZ. She has been diving here a few times, but finds it very cold!!
She thinks the best part of being a vet is the variety of work. You can just never tell which species you will be faced with, or what illness you will be treating. She also loves working as part of an awesome team!
Jen’s home life is on the farm with her partner Alan and daughter Lottie. She used to love farm vetting but finds she still gets her fix at home! Along with 800 beef cows, Jen and Alan have acquired a few sheep, a pig (and all the piglets she seems to pop out,) a cat and 2 dogs. She will be looking for a little pony for Lottie as soon as she is allowed!
