Kate Christiansen is a Kerikeri local, having lived here all her life. She has always had animals large and small and is happiest when spending time with the furry critters. She has been nursing for a few years now and is delighted that she has found her life passion. Kate decided nursing might be for her when one day Kate took her dog to the vet for a procedure. She found that the vet nurse at the clinic was lovely and caring made her feel so comfortable and relieved about leaving her dog there. That moment developed over the years into Kate’s desire to be a nurse and learning to provide that comfort and reassurance to people who are leaving their animals in her care. She really knows how special people's pets are to them. Incidentally that inspiring vet nurse was our own Kelsi Hassan!
In her free time Kate can be found spending time with her family, especially her beloved nephew, and adventuring with her orange dog and her partner.
